Natural Muscle Building

There’s quite an old fashioned view that to get muscles the size of a professional bodybuilder you must be taking steroids and all sorts of supplements. This is of course not true at all, as many top bodybuilders have never used steroids in their lives but still manage to build massive muscles. Yes, they may take supplements but these are natural and are only used to aid in muscle growth.
Natural muscle building can be done easily even without natural supplements. It’s all about getting the balance of diet and exercise right. Some people take the view that taking supplements is merely a short cut and a way of cheating to get bigger. Again this is totally wrong and a very short sighted view.
Natural muscle building is all about knowing when to eat what foods at the right times of the day. You need to know the ideal times to have your protein fix so that your muscles can use it to grow and repair themselves. This is normally done straight after your workout as the protein gets straight to work.
To build muscle you will need to be eating quite a lot of carbohydrates each day. Actually about 50% of your diet should be in the form of carbs. Not just any carbs as some aren’t beneficial. You should avoid white rice, white potatoes and stick to brown rice, wholemeal bread etc.
Your workout needs to be well balanced too. You’ll need to exercise each muscle group on separate days so that your body stays in proportion. Giving each muscle group a day off allows them to grow. So never over work your muscles.
Natural muscle building can be done very effectively and have the same results as someone taking steroids or supplements. It’s all about knowing your facts.
